6 Things I've Heard and Seen in Cabs That Should Never Have Been Said or Done.

As a previous regular cab user in Norwich I've heard some pretty shocking, non PC things.
Me and my friend were discussing this and wondering about why the cab drivers in Norwich seem to think this politically incorrect, offensive, overshared language is acceptable to say to young people.
So I've decided to list a few of the worst ones and ask why this might be a thing?
Despite only two of these seeming directly threatening to women they all have made me feel uncomfortable, grossed out and powerless. When you're in someone else' car it's hard to challenge what they're saying as you don't know how they might react. However by not reacting does this encourage this behavior? Does it make them think it's ok to use me, the vulnerable customer, as a racist diary?
This is not to say that all cab drivers in Norwich are horrible racists but these are a few stand out experiences and I know friends of mine have experienced similar things.

1) "I used to live in London, I'm not racist but there's loads of black people in Croydon"

2) "That driver is either foreign, a student or a woman"

3) "She won't be blown away look how fat she is"

4) "The Asian students are so tiny look at them"

5) The man who wasn't wearing any trousers.

6) "I'm having the best day of my life, we're leaving the EU"

So there it is, 6 things I've heard and seen in cabs that should never have been said or done.

Chilli Con Carne

I love Chilli Con Carne, for me it's one of the ultimate comfort foods for when I'm feeling blue at Uni. It's really easy to make and doesn't cost too much either and you can get really creative with how you make it. Mince the garlic and add in.  - When the onions have softened add the mince meat and put some salt and pepper on it.  - Once the meat is cooked chuck the passata in and start to season with the garlic powder, ceyane pepper, cumin, paprika and a little bit of s...

Recipe of the week: 5 less obvious essential ingredients

5 less obvious essential ingredients Rather than doing a recipe of the week this week I've decided to write a list of five ingredients that I think are absolute essentials and that aren't the classic salt, pepper or garlic! I think when cooking it's good to have an understanding of what flavors you really like and for those who are less confident it can be handy knowing about some other ingredients that are out there. So at number one we have garlic powder In my eyes this is an absolute must for the cupboard. It's cheap and you can buy it in big bags so you'll be stocked up or a while. I love this ingredient as it gives a lovely garlicky depth to sauces, almost a bit like stock but without the saltiness. I typically use this when I make curries, chilli con carne or garlic mayo. Sometimes it's just the thing that's missing. Two:  Cayenne Pepper For all spice lovers, this ingredient is your friend. Make sure you taste as you go along as it pack...
