Favorite Memories from School/Sixth Form

This wonderful memory of my friends came to mind this morning and I just thought I'd write it down along with a few others. My friends are fantastic. I'm sure everyone can say that about their nearest and dearest and when I think back memories from school and sixth form with them I can't help but laugh. Earlier this morning when I was thinking about some funny times I just had to say something about it, so here's a list of a few favorite moments.

The Middle Class Antics

- Amber, Esme and Lucia brought me granola and yogurt when I had the flu
- Me, Amber, Esme and Lucia used to eat olives and chocolate Alpro Soya milk from Budgens after school in the park
- Tapas was our Friday night
- Esme taught me how to cut an avocado and I did a terrible job
- Wednesday dips for lunch with Tilda
- Antonio and Tilda's hot tub party

Pure Hilarity
- Attempting to rap for Georgie and getting attacked by thorns
- Drunkenly screaming with laughter with Esme so many times
- Drunkenly trying to wake up Esme's brother with a hair dryer
- Mine and Amber's sense of humor: imagining a man having a solo water fight, bored tourist and imitating Donkey from Shrek
- Our routine of going into a 21+ bar when we were underage
- Drunkenly showering in front of Ella with nothing but a bra on
- Thinking Aidan was always high when I first met him- he was just tired in the mornings.
- When Iz stood on a mouse during the first holiday
- Lotte's Ja'mie impression
- Tilda rocking on that boat on the first holiday

Joyful Times
- The holiday each year- especially mac and cheese night and quiz night
- Secret Santa with the Fortismere crew
- New Years Eve with the Fortismere crew
- Sitting in Georgies garden chatting nonsense for hours after school
- Creating a 'silent disco' at Lucia's house with Amber, Esme and Luc and it was very lame
- Meeting Joey and getting free champagne along Carnaby Street

Obviously these are all very personal and won't mean much to those who don't know these people, but it's nice to look back on school and think about the good/funny times rather than the horrible GCSEs, A levels and figuring yourself out. This is a post that I will read in the future when I want to look back on nice memories and something I just wanted written down.
What is your funniest school memory?

5 Cheese Shops Every Cheese-a-holic should head to

As someone who is obsessed with cheese I have spent a fair amount of time sussing out London's most fabulous cheese mongers. There are so many to bring up, but I thought I would go with the five that I return to most frequently. So at number 1: Paxton and Whitfield. Dating back to the 1700s, Paxton and Whitfield is London's oldest cheese shop and stocks amazing cheeses from around the world. I come here annually to buy cheese for Christmas day, and I am unashamed to admit it's probably one of my favorite expeditions of the year. They serve something for everyone from creamy goats cheese to smack you in the face blues. The range is extensive and the staff are happy to help you pick the perfect cheeses to match your pallet and the occasion. Number 2: La Fromagerie. Based in Highbury and Mayfair this cheese shop holds an authentic feel and is the first experience I'd had of a cheese shop. I go to the one in Highbury and Islington as it's local to me and I never...

My Birthday Weekend in Brighton

Luckily for me I have an incredible best friend who was thoughtful and lovely enough to take me away to Brighton for the weekend before my birthday.  I have to admit, I tend to be pretty sceptical of leaving London as I only just moved back and am having a blast. However this weekend blew me away and taught me that it's good to have a break from the big city sometimes.   The main event of our trip was going for a tea for two, something that I never really thought would be offered gluten free yet my friend, Amber, managed to find an incredible coeliac friendly one.  We went to a vegetarian restaurant called Terre De Terre which is a few yards from the sea front. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely and they seated us outside under a golden yellow sun shader. We requested the gluten free tea for two which is 100% coeliac friendly and comes with one savoury plate, three sweet tiers, a glass of prosecco and a tea all for £30.  I cannot begin ...

Chilli Con Carne

I love Chilli Con Carne, for me it's one of the ultimate comfort foods for when I'm feeling blue at Uni. It's really easy to make and doesn't cost too much either and you can get really creative with how you make it. Ingredients:  -1 pack of beef mince meat - 2 white onions - 4 cloves of garlic - 1 carton of passata  - 1 tin of red kidney beans - salt and pepper - garlic powder - smoked paprika - regular paprika - ceyane pepper - cumin powder - one cube of beef stock - red wine  Side options:  - avocado - red onion - fresh coriander - cheddar cheese - sour cream Method:  - Start by chopping your onions and put them in a frying pan on a low heat. Mince the garlic and add in.  - When the onions have softened add the mince meat and put some salt and pepper on it.  - Once the meat is cooked chuck the passata in and start to season with the garlic powder, ceyane pepper, cumin, paprika and a little bit of s...
